We are delighted to have teamed up with "Wind and Fire",
offering professionally organised international standard hot air balloon tours. Departures "join in
small group" every day in the early morning between 1 November and
the
end of February.
Daily
morning departures from Doi Saket, from November until February, based
on a joint tour.
The launch site is situated just a short 15 minute drive from the
city center of Chiang Mai in Doi Saket.
Balloon flights take place in the in
the early hours each morning, before the air heats up. Meeting is
typically one hour before sunrise at the launch site / Balloon Office.
Our staff will tell you about the meeting time upon confirmation of the
booking.
You are welcome to enjoy a cup of coffee / tea while the balloon is
being inflated. For those wanting to learn more about ballooning and
"jump in" we welcome you to help the crew with the inflation, under the
pilot's supervision.
As the sun peeks over the horizon the balloon will gently lift off
sky ward, into the calm breeze guiding it . The 'birds eye view is'
surprisingly detailed. Guaranteed breathtaking panoramic views, of the
distant mountains, terraced rice paddies, the lush green Ping River
valley and rural villages, are sure to take your breath away. Visiting
'Unseen' Thailand by way of a gentle free-floating balloon is an
experience of a lifetime. An aerial view of the many striking golden
temples, typical for the Chiang Mai area, adds to the picturesque
adventure.
After a tranquil flight of approximately one hour, you will land
wherever the wind has brought you. Upon landing you will be
congratulated with a champagne style breakfast served at the landing
site. The pilot, as a remembrance of the flight, will also award all
passengers with a flight certificate.
The full journey takes roughly 4 hours; balloon inflation, flight
and breakfast.

Note! In windy
or otherwise marginal conditions the pilot may choose to postpone
or cancel the flight, as safety is highly valued. Fortunately
Thailand typically has perfect ballooning weather thus flights
rarely need to be cancelled. In the event we do need to cancel a
flight due to weather conditions, we will be delighted to
reschedule the flight or issue a full refund.
