Lampang Elephant Mahout Training - One Day Adventure Activity (CMACT1)

This a one day course organised by the Lampang Elephant Conservation Centre. As well as seeing a demonstration of elephant skills, you will learn a variety of aspects about elephants. In the afternoon you will be introduced to the skills of a mahout and how to ride and command an elephant.
An excellent activity and learning day for older children/teenagers and adults.

Course itinerary:

8.00 Arrive at the Thai Elephant Conservation Center
08.30 Registration / get a handbook / borrow a mahout suit
09:00 Meet staff and mahouts / Training Program
09:45 Watch elephants bathing
10:00 Watch elephant show
10.45 Watch demonstration of how to make elephant dung paper
11:20 See exhibition hall about The National Elephant Institute
11.40 See the elephant hospital
12:00 Lunch
13:30 Training Program
15.00 Ride elephant back to the forest
16:00 Certificate ceremony

Notes: This tour/course is organised by Lampang Elephant Conservation Centre. Price is for package of course and transportation to and from your hotel in Chiang Mai. There will probably be other people at the centre participating in the course.

There are staff at the centre to explain activities in English. Transport to and from Chiang Mai is private A/C vehicle + driver. If you wish for an English speaking guide to accompany you for the whole day (start and end in Chiang Mai), there is an extra charge of US$50 (total).
